What it is
Chiropractic care focuses on how the spine and joints move. Using precise, hands-on adjustments, the goal is to reduce irritation, restore motion, and support your body's ability to function comfortably.
Conditions it may help with
- Neck and back pain
- Stiffness and limited range of motion
- Tension-type headaches
- Joint discomfort
- Postural strain
How evaluation and treatment work
After a history and examination, Dr. Homsey identifies areas of restricted movement and applies controlled adjustments suited to your age, comfort, and condition. Adjustments may be combined with supportive therapies or home recommendations.
What to expect at your appointment
Visits are usually brief and relaxed. You remain clothed, and each step is explained before it happens. Some people feel mild soreness for a day after early visits.
Common questions
Do adjustments hurt?
Most patients find them comfortable. Techniques are adapted to you, and you can always ask for a gentler approach.
Do I need a referral?
Generally no. Insurance requirements vary, so please call the office to confirm your plan.
Some symptoms call for medical evaluation beyond chiropractic care — for example numbness that is spreading, loss of bladder or bowel control, unexplained weight loss, fever with back pain, or pain following serious trauma. If anything in your exam suggests another provider is needed, Dr. Homsey will tell you and help coordinate a referral.
